In order to become wealthy you must first define what true wealth is. The word wealth can mean different things to different people:
The Merriam Webster Dictionary (New Edition): 1: Abundance of possessions or resources: Affluence, Riches 2: Abundant supply: 3: All property that has a money or exchange value: All objects or resources that have an economic value syn fortune, property, substance, worth.
Robert Kiyosaki: "The number of days you can survive without physically working and still maintain your chosen standard of living."
Jon Bender: In his book, In God We Trust, "Real wealth is living in gratitude; gratitude begins in trusting God in all things."
Sir John Templeton: "Riches are about asset allocation, wealth is about gratitude."
Bible: Matthew: 6:33, Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you.
In Ruth 2:1, Boaz, a wealthy and influential man shared his harvest with Ruth. How could he have done this if he was poor? In the Bible there are lots of references to wealth but with the warning to not have a "LOVE" of money.
"If God owns the cattle on a thousand hills, and we are His children, these too are part of our inheritance"
We believe wealth is much more than just making a lot of money.
A brief perspective on wealth from the eyes of Bill Davis, Greg Montoya and Jon Bender, leaders within the Creating Wealth From Home™ team:
You can be rich and not wealthy. Many people spend their life seeking money, yet true wealth is so much more. It's the ability to enjoy a meaningful life. The word "enjoy" originates from Latin gaudere to rejoice. Rejoice means, being grateful and having faith that somehow God has you "safe" in His hands. It is true that having the ability to invest your time and resources the way you choose has benefit, yet this is only a part of being wealthy. In short, as Sir John Templeton said, "Riches are riches and wealth is gratitude." Wealth is being grateful for a purpose driven, fruitful existence under God's plan to make the world a better place for everyone.
Wealth: Why or Why not? Why do some people lead lives of massive frustration and severe lack, while others live in total fulfillment with absolute abundance? This is a question we should all ask ourselves.
Why would you want to be anything, but wealthy?
It's been said that without a strong enough WHY, even the easiest HOW will be too difficult. Find your WHY then you will find your HOW. Once you find your WHY, it is easy to find the WHAT and HOW to become wealthy. You must know your WHY to create passion. Passion is the combination of the things you love, want and/or desire, and the things you choose to get out of your life. Without passion your dreams are only passing thoughts. With passion, your dreams take on life. Your dreams become goals when you know the WHEN and WHY. Your vision becomes crystal clear, your purpose well defined and the energy and excitement give new hope and meaning to your life.
Most people are not looking for "WEALTH" in itself, but instead they're looking for all the benefits that wealth can provide.
Most people are not attracted to some large pile of money or the "trappings of success". We all want the ability to have more control of our own destiny. We want the freedom to write the pages of our future in the present tense. We all want the opportunity to share a meaningful existence and most want to positively impact those around us.
Time, our most precious asset, is valuable and cannot be replaced. We are given a short existence here on earth and we want to make the most of it. So how can we be better in control of our future? Having enough in life (and some left over) gives us the ability to better choose our destiny and create our legacy. We all will be remembered to some degree, but what will you be remembered for? Will it be hours and days at work, stress and pressure of a job that you may not be happy with? Hard work and learned skills, but never enough time or money for the more important things in life? Things such as time freedom to be able to do what you want when you want, more time for your family and having the extra funds to help others in need and to make the world a better place for everyone.
Are there people or organizations in your life that could be enriched by your new found wealth?
How could you expand the influence of your principles and beliefs? How many people could have life changing results because you could afford to invest your time and resources into their lives?
Although material things can be enjoyable and there is nothing wrong with having them, as long as they don't have you, wealth is more than fancy cars, big houses and gold watches!
Your abundant financial situation can help make a major difference in the lives of many people around you who are in need and by doing so could have earthly and eternal rewards for you.
The choice is yours. Opportunity is not accidental. Circumstances are not coincidental and opportunities lost can have just as powerful results. Only we may never know to what level or how damaging!
True wealth can make a difference in your life and the lives of those who are most important to you.
Time and money are closely related. If you have more resources working for you, you have more choices with your time. The wise believe you should learn the ways to have your money work for you so you don't always have to work for money. The benefits could become what formally in your life have only been fleeting dreams.
When you begin creating a wealthier lifestyle the world as you know it will become wealthier and so will many who are around you!
When you have "true wealth" your relationships can become more, your purpose can become more evident, and your influence can expand. The beliefs and success principles you profess get expressed in and through you in such a way that others will see your integrity. But the choice, as always, is yours. You must decide what you want to become. You must "Become" something to "DO" something, to "HAVE" something. This formula is not cultural, or circumstantial. It is universal and based on proven time-tested principles. To have a more abundant life, you need a different plan and process and most importantly have the faith to execute the details. Your future begins with the decisions you make today. Your choice to create a more prosperous financial situation can initially be frightening. There are always certain types of risks associated with starting any type of business. Freedom isn't FREE! There is always a price to pay for success and significance. If it were free it would have no value. Don't you agree the benefits of taking better control of your destiny and fully enjoying the gifts God has given you along with the mutual benefits for everyone in your life seems so much more rewarding than simply "having a job" and working till you die?
"It's been said that the greatest financial risk that a person could take in life is to work for someone else!"
By decision and design, your future is secure or at risk. Your decision to better control your future will release the chains of the past that have kept you captive. Money, wealth, resources or whatever you may call the "keys" to your future are seen with the mind and spirit, not the eyes. The trappings of success are sometimes valued more highly by those who don't possess them than those who do.
We believe that true wealth is having the ability to rejoice in a meaningful, purpose driven, fruit bearing life without worries of living pay check to pay check and having concerns of how to pay the next light bill (e.g. living in the spirit of gratitude). As stated earlier, we believe it is okay to have money and nice things but it is not okay to let them have you. We enjoy certain things that money can buy, but most important we enjoy all the things that money can't buy!
The decision to become wealthy is up to you!
| If you are satisfied with the results of the decisions you have made so far in life and you are today, where you planned three years ago to be, you already know the benefits of what we are sharing. "We believe that creating wealth in itself is not God's purpose for our lives. How we use the wealth He has given us to shed light and love to positively affect those around us, is."
